GIBSON, Colin (1948)
Colin Gibson was born in Belfast, N.Ireland in
1948. After spending the early years of his career as a graphic designer with
the Belfast Telegraph Colin made the decision to turn professional at the tender
age of 26.
With his first solo exhibition with the Nelson Bell
Gallery in 1968, Colin has built up a prestigious client base which includes
organisations such as the Bank of Ireland, Belfast Harbour Commissioners, Ulster
Television, P&O Cruises, Doyle Hotel Group...
Specialist not only in Landscape painting but also
in capturing sporting events around the globe, Colins distinctive style is
instantly recognisable. Such is his appeal that Colins work truly does travel
world-wide with collectors as far off as Canada, America, and Australia.
