WAITE, William (XX) William Waite lives and works in Penwith, Cornwall, painting and teaching. His interest in the production and origination of Religious and Classical art has led him to study in many countries including Greece, Morocco and Tibet. He draws upon his studies of the diverse techniques developed by historical civilisations when he paints. This produces an artistic expression of mythological and eternal aspects within mankind. With his direct artistic experiences in Tibet and Nepal, and a meditational focus his Buddhist images are produced, depicting the purified nature of the human mind. William sees the action of painting as an opportunity to enter into dynamic explorations of the mind and the 'metaphysical pigment of space'
